The Aerospace and Defence ecosystem has a global reach and has been severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

DG DEFIS therefore considers it important to engage with all relevant stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure that suitable and tailored measures can be put in place to support this industrial ecosystem in the coming years, during the recovery and towards a more sustainable and digital society.

To further structure this engagement, DG DEFIS is holding a second virtual workshop with stakeholders from the EU Aerospace and Defence industrial ecosystem.

This workshop will focus on two aspects:

• Inform EU stakeholders on the opportunities in a range of relevant programmes and actions foreseen in the next 7 years, including the Recovery Plan for Europe
• Consult EU stakeholders on upcoming new policies and initiatives, including the Action Plan on synergies between civil, defence and space industries, and options for space-based secure connectivity
