STATE SPACE AGENCY OF UKRAINE (SSAU)

The State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU), established in 1992, is the government agency responsible the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of space activities.

SSAU primary missions:

Development of state policy concepts in the sphere of exploration and peaceful use of outer space, as well as in the interests of national security;
Organization and development of space activities in Ukraine and under its jurisdiction abroad;
Contribution to state national security and defense;
Promotion of Ukraine’s cooperation with other states and international space organizations.
The main goal of SSAU is the effective use of scientific, technical and production potential of Ukrainian space sector to ensure a high level of space activities, to support the socio-economic and scientific progress of the state, and to increase the welfare of citizens, creation of a powerful export potential and development of international cooperation.

SSAU controls and coordinates the activities of 21 enterprises and organizations of space industry of Ukraine.
