EUSPA’s fourth Horizon Europe call is still open
The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) has launched its fourth Horizon Europe call, which is currently open and offers funding opportunities for projects using data and services from the EU Space Programme. The call is part of the Horizon Europe programme under Cluster 4 Digital, Industry and Space and aims to support the development of innovative downstream applications based on Galileo, EGNOS and Copernicus.
The call HORIZON EUSPA 2026 SPACE includes two open topics. The first topic focuses on strengthening the space data economy, supporting innovative solutions that use space data in areas such as sustainability, climate resilience, green finance, insurance and smart cities. The second topic targets innovative space based applications enhancing Europe’s resilience, including solutions for disaster risk management, emergency response and protection of critical infrastructure, with strong integration of EU Space Programme components.
These calls are open to companies, research organisations, public authorities and other stakeholders active in the space downstream sector. Proposals must demonstrate clear use of EU Space data and services and a strong potential for real world deployment and market uptake.
The EUSPA calls represent an important opportunity for applicants looking to develop space based applications with high societal and economic impact while contributing to the wider uptake of EU Space Programme services.
The two topics were presented during EUSPA Space Downstream Day on 5th December 2025 (presentations are found here).
The deadline for both topics is 24 February 2026.
