Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026–27 Published

The European Commission has published the Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2026–2027, making the final set of funding opportunities under the current Horizon Europe framework now available. The programme foresees around 14 billion to support research and innovation activities across Europe and beyond.

The 2026–27 Work Programme reflects the EU’s strategic priorities, with a strong focus on climate action, digital transformation, industrial competitiveness, and societal resilience. It continues to support excellent science, collaborative research, innovation ecosystems, and measures to widen participation across the European Research Area.

Funding opportunities are structured across Horizon Europe pillars and instruments, including thematic clusters, Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, research infrastructures, EU Missions, and the New European Bauhaus Facility. The programme also introduces further simplification measures to improve accessibility for newcomers, SMEs, and interdisciplinary consortia.
